On March 9, 2019, an Officer was assisting on a DUI stop in the 100 block of North Lincoln Street and made contact with the passenger of the vehicle, a Hispanic male. The male stated he had no identification and was asked to write his name on the Officer's notepad to which he wrote Jesus Duran-Gasca. The Officer asked the male if he had a wallet in his pocket, which he did, and was able to produce a Debit Card with the name Jesus Lemus-Duran. Lemus-Duran was transported to the Kennett Square Police Station, where he was searched incident to arrest in the processing room. The Officer found a small pink baggy containing a white powdery substance inside Lemus-Duran's shoe and another inside the brim of his hat. The powdery substance tested positive for cocaine. Jesus Lemus-Duran was transported for live scan processing and then released to his cousin pending a summons for Unsworn Falsification to Authorities, Possession of a Controlled Substance and other related charges at District Court 15-3-04.
