On March 14, 2020, Justin Dixon, 36, of Newark, De was taken into custody on a warrant. He was also charged with possession of controlled substances and paraphernalia. At approximately 10:55 AM, an officer responded to the 100 block of Ewart Road for a suspicious condition. The caller advised that a male subject tied a truck to a utility pole and was trying to pull it down. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with the vehicle owner/operator, Justin Dixon, and a passenger. Both subjects exhibited signs of impairment. Dixon advised the officer that he was using the utility pole to help disconnect a trailer from his truck, which had broken down. Dixon was found to have an active bench warrant out of Delaware County and was taken into custody. He was found to be in possession of various suspected drugs, including methamphetamine, marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, and paraphernalia.
