Burglary: On Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at approximately 1050 AM the Kennett Township Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Ironstone Lane in Kennett Square for a burglary.   Officers observed the rear master bedroom door to be smashed open. The victims reported that the burglary occurred between 9 PM and 11 PM on January 26, 2106. The victim reported jewelry and money stolen from the residence. Loss valued at several hundred thousand dollars.

*Update*- An arrest was made on October 17, 2016 in reference to the above burglary. The Kennett Township Police Department arrested Kebbie Ramseur, age 39, of Manor, DE for felony burglary and related offenses.  Investigators gathered DNA evidence from the crime scene which linked Ramseur to the crime.  Ramseur is being linked by investigators to a multi-state crime spree which targeted high end residences throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.

Arson: On November 10, 2016 Kennett Township Police were dispatched to the west side of the Marshall Bridge Preserve near the 900 block of Creek Road for a report of an arson investigation. Upon arrival, a 2001 Honda CRV was found to be undistinguishable due to a fire. The vehicle appears to have been driven into the preserve, caused damage to signs and trees and then set on fire. Through investigation, it was later found that the vehicle was reported stolen on October 21, 2016 from Chadds Ford, PA. This is an on-going investigation and further details will be released once received.

Criminal Mischief: On November 15, 2016 Kennett Township Police responded to the area of Alford Court for a report of criminal mischief. During the investigation, it was revealed that between the hours of 8 AM and 3 PM on November 13, 2016 – November 14, 2016 explicit words were scratched into the rear fender of a 2005 Jeep. Kennett Township Police ask that if anyone else had a similar incident occur to please contact them at 610-388-2874.

Hit and Run Crash: On November 15, 2016 at 10:27 AM Kennett Township Police responded to the area of Baltimore Pike and Lenape Road for a hit and run crash. The victim, a 2011 Black GMC Denali was struck from behind by a black Chevrolet sedan with partial PA registration KGA. The vehicle is believed to be driven by a white female in her 20s with a passenger, a white male in his 60s. Damage should be on the front bumper of the Chevrolet conducive with striking the rear of another vehicle. Anyone with any information relating to this vehicle or crash is asked to contact Kennett Township Police Department at 610-388-2874.

The Kennett Township Police Department affirms that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
