The North Coventry Township Police Department was called to the Boscov's Department Store for the report of a male passing counterfeit currency. Upon arrival, Officers conducted an investigation and later were able to locate the suspect, John Albertson. Albertson was detained and found to have on him 11 pills which he did not have a prescription for as well as a baggie containing a white crystal like powder which is reported to be crystal meth. Albertson was taken into custody and charged with 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance and arraigned in from of Judge Kraut. Albertson's bail was set at $25000/10% which he was unable to post. Albertson was remanded to CCP with a preliminary hearing set for 08/17/17. Albertson was also found to have an active bench warrant out of Montgomery County.
