On 12/07/2019 The North Coventry Police Department arrested Suzanne Harris, 37, of Schwenksville, for Driving Under the Influence, Resisting Arrest, and Possession of Marijuana. The arrest was made after the police conducted a traffic stop on a black sedan for disregarding a red light and failing to maintain the traffic lane. During the course of the investigation, Officer determined Harris was operating her vehicle under the influence was subsequently arrested. Police also found a sandwich bag of marijuana inside a purse which was located inside the vehicle. Harris was transported to the North Coventry Township Police Station. Upon arrival, Harris was non compliant with commands to walk into the station. Harris had to be physically escorted into the station. While at the station Harris refused a blood test. Harris was again non compliant with commands to walk back out to the patrol vehicle and had to be physically escorted to the patrol vehicle. When Harris was given verbal commands to get into the patrol vehicle she was non compliant and put her foot against to patrol vehicle to prevent from getting inside. Harris was eventually brought over to Pottstown Police Department for housing. While at Pottstown Police Department Harris was again non compliant with verbal commands to get into the cell. After Harris was in the cell, Officers had to physically restrain Harris to remove the handcuffs. Harris was processed and arraigned the next morning. A preliminary hearing date was set for December 16, 2019 at District Court 15-3-01.
