Unit#1, a 2003 Ford Explorer being operated by Michael Krumenacker, was traveling west on Rt. 724 approaching the intersection with Catfish Lane. Unit#2, a 2011 Kia Soul being driven by Victoria Watson, was traveling east on Rt. 724. Unit#1 attempted to make a left turn onto Catfish Lane in front of Unit#2.
