On 06/16/17 the North Coventry Township Police Department responded to the report of a single vehicle roll over crash in the area of Route 100 south and Route 422. Prior to arrival, NCPD was advised that the occupants of the vehicle were scene running from the scene. Upon arrival, Officers were able to locate Jason Milam of Pottstown further south on Route 100. Milam admitted to being the driver of the vehicle involved in the crash.
During the course of the investigation, officers found that Milam was driving the vehicle while his operating priveleges were suspended, DUI Related. Also Milam was found to be in possession of a white crystal like substance believed to be methamphetamine as well as a glass smoking pipe commonly used for the ingestion of methamphetamine. Milam was taken into custody for the possession charges as well as for suspected DUI. Milam was transported to PMMC for further testing. Milam was then arraigned in front of Judge Bailey and bail was set at $25,000.00 cash. Bailey was remanded to CCCF when he was unable to post bail. Milam also had a detainer filed for him by Delaware County Adult Probation. Milam is facing charges for DUI, Driving while under suspension DUI related, Possession of a controlled substance, Possession of drug paraphernalia and multiple traffic charges.
