On April 04, 2019 at about 2044 hours, the North Coventry Police responded to the 1000 Block of S. Hanover St. for a two vehicle crash. Upon police arrival, a witness advised police that Unit #1 was traveling in the south bound Lane behind Unit #2 when the accident occurred. The witness stated that Unit #2 came to a sudden stop in the roadway, before attempting to make a right turn into their driveway. The operator of Unit #2 continued driving their vehicle into their driveway, after being struck by Unit #1. While speaking with the operator of Unit #1, police were advised that the operator of Unit #2 appeared to be intoxicated. The operator of Unit #2, who was identified as Sean Paweckyj, of Pottstown, was standing next to Unit #1's vehicle. Praweckyj advised police that he was unsure of what happened, but stated that someone had struck his vehicle from the rear, while he was traveling south bound on S. Hanover St. While speaking with Praweckyj, the police detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Praweckyj, which he denied consuming prior to the crash. Police administered field sobriety tests to Praweckyj, which he completed. Praweckyj showed signs of impairment during field sobriety testing. Praweckyj was taken into custody for DUI. Praweckyj did submit to a breath test which revealed that his BAC was 0.169%. Praweckyj was processed and later released the following morning after his arraignment. Praweckyj's bail was set in the amount of $10,000 - 10%.
