On June 17, 2017 at about 2211 hours, the North Coventry Police Department responded to the Gabe's store in the Coventry Mall for a retail theft. The white male actor had selected items in the store, including two sets of ear buds, and was observed concealing the items into his bag. The male left the store without paying for the items. The male crossed the mall parking lot and went across Rt. 724. Witnesses described the male as having two braids in his hair, wearing a black and red shirt, and carrying a black and red bag. The value of the ear buds totaled $14.98. During the course of the investigation, the Pottstown Police Department responded to the 200 block of Chestnut Street on the report that the white male actor was at this location and had his red and black bag with him. Upon arrival, the police identified the white male as Brandon J. Quintrell. Quintrell was identified by a store employee as the male who took the items from Gabe's. The police recovered the two sets of ear buds. Quintrell was taken into custody and charged with felony Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property. On 06/18/17, Quintrell was arraigned via video arraignment in front of Judge Donatelli . Quintrell was remanded to CCCF when he could not post the $5,000.00-10% bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 6/22/17 at 0900hours in front of Judge Brown.
