On 11/27/2019 The North Coventry Police Department arrested Michael Rimel, 50, of Pottstown, for Driving Under the Influence. The arrest was made after the police conducted a traffic stop on a white sedan for traveling at a high rate of speed, while approaching another vehicle, in a residential zone. During the course of the investigation, Officer determined that Rimel was operating his vehicle under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and was subsequently arrest. Rimel was transported to the North Coventry Township Police Department where he submitted to a blood test by Goodwill Ambulance. Rimel was processed and released to a sober adult pending a preliminary hearing. Criminal charges were filed against Rimel with District Court 15-3-01.
