On 7/14/16 the North Coventry Twp. Police responded to the Kohl's Department Store, Coventry Mall, on the report of a retail theft with a suspect in custody. Upon arrival police were advised by Kohl's Loss Prevention that they observed a female, later identified as Evelyn Rodriguez, 53, of Pottstown, remove several articles of clothing from the racks offered for sale by Kohl's, valued at $277.93, and exit the store without paying for said merchandise. Rodriguez was stopped by Kohl's Loss Prevention and the stolen merchandise recovered. Rodriguez was also found to be in possession of other various merchandise, valued at $152.94, found to be stolen from Boscov's Department Store, also located within the Coventry Mall. Rodriguez was charged with PACC 3929(a)(1) M-1 Retail Theft and PACC 3925(a) M-1 Receiving Stolen Property. Rodriguez was processed and released pending a preliminary hearing.
