On February 26, 2020 at 0915 hours North Coventry Township Police Department and Norco Fire Department responded to 479 Kline Avenue in North Coventry Township for a report of smoke coming from the roof of the residence. Upon police and fire arrival it was determined that the residence was fully engulfed in heavy smoke and fire. Once fire crews were able to make entry into the residence a male victim was found deceased inside the residence.
A fire investigation was initiated by the North Coventry Police Department Detective Unit, North Coventry Fire Marshals Office, Chester County Fire Marshals Office, Chester County Coroners Office and the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshals Unit.
Identification of the victim and cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Chester County Coroners Office.
