On 3/3/19 at 2205 the North Coventry Twp. Police Dept. responded to 1021 E. Schuylkill Rd., also known as Route 724, on the report of a one vehicle crash in which the vehicle had struck that residence. It was reported that the operator was attempting to leave the scene. Upon our arrival the operator, Brian F. Nicolosi, 34 of Pottstown was standing outside of the vehicle and advised that he was not injured. At the time of the crash the weather was heavy snow and the roadway was snow covered. Police investigation revealed that unit #1 was traveling east on Route 724. Unit #1 was traveling at a speed greater than was reasonable and prudent for the snow conditions that existed. Unit #1 lost control and traveling north east across Route 724 and struck the south east corner of 1021 E. Schuylkill Rd. Unit #1 continued north east and struck shrubs belonging to 1031 E. Schuylkill Rd. before coming to rest. 1021 E. Schuylkill Rd. sustained structural damage to the porch and porch roof column. Unit #1 sustained disabling undercarriage damage and was towed from the scene. Opr. #1 was found to be operating the vehicle while his is driving privilege was suspended. Unit #1 was found to have and expired PA registration KRP6641 (2/19). The vehicle insurance card provided by Opr. #1 for unit #1 was expired 9/18. Opr. #1 was cited for PMVC 3361 driving vehicle at safe speed, PMVC 1543(a) driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, and PMVC 1786(f) required financial responsibility.
