On 05/24/19 at 2110 hours, the North Coventry Township Police Department responded to the area of WB Rt. 422 @ Rt. 724 for the report of a 3 vehicle crash. Upon arrival officers located a white Toyota Rav 4 operated by Mui Lysu of Pottstown (Unit #3), a black Ford Edge operated by Mathew Dever of Pottstown (Unit #1), and a gray Infinity M35X operated by Kristin Mazzola of Boyertown (Unit#2) blocking the right lane of travel. It was determined that Unit #3 was stopped at the top of the Rt. 724 on-ramp to WB Rt. 422, waiting to merge into the travel lanes. Unit #1 was following to closely behind Unit #3 on the on-ramp. Unit #1 became distracted and was unable to react to Unit #3 being stopped at the top of the ramp. Unit #1 struck the rear end bumper of Unit #3. When the collision between Unit #1 and Unit #3 occurred, Unit #2 struck the rear end bumper of Unit #1 simultaneously. Unit #3 sustained functional damage, Unit #1 and Unit #2 both sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene by Sanatoga Auto Body. Goodwill Ambulance responded to the accident due to a neck and back injury sustained by the operator of Unit #3. The operator of Unit #3 denied medical transport.
