Two vehicle crash

On 6/13/18 at 1854 hrs. the North Coventry Twp. Police Dept. responded to the Route 422 west ramp to Route 100 north on the report of a two vehicle crash.  Police investigation revealed that both Units were traveling on the Route 422 west off ramp to Route 100 north.  Unit #2, operated by Connor Hause, of Gilbertsville, was in front of Unit #1, operated by Jun Pan, of Pottstown.  At the bottom of the ramp Unit #2 started to merge onto Route 100 north and was forced to stop due to oncoming traffic on Route 100 north.  Unit #1 did follow Unit #2 at a distance that was closer than was reasonable and prudent for the speed and conditions that existed and failed to observe that Unit #2 had stopped.  Unit #1 then struck Unit #2 from behind.  Unit #1 sustained functional passenger's front end damage and was driven from the scene.  Unit #2 sustained disabling driver's side rear end damage and was towed from the scene.  Opr. #2 advised of neck pain and was transported to the Phoenixville Hospital by Goodwill Ambulance.  Opr. #1 was cited for PMVC 3310 following too closely.  North Coventry Twp. Police were assisted by Norco Fire Co. and Norco Fire Police.
