On 11/8/19 at 1735 hrs. the North Coventry Twp. Police Dept. responded to the Route 422 west off ramp to Route 100 north on the report of a two vehicle crash. Upon police arrival both vehicles were parked to the left of the off ramp lane in the middle of the ramp. Police investigation revealed that both units were traveling on the Route 422 west off ramp to Route 100 north. Unit #2, operated by Elijah Tyron Flowers-Hill, of Pottstown, was in front of unit #1, operated by Mary A. Kirlin, of Pottstown. Unit #1 did follow unit #2 at a speed and distance that was greater and closer than was reasonable and prudent for the conditions that existed, failed to stop and struck unit #2 from behind. Unit #1 sustained disabling front end damage and was towed from the scene. Unit #2 sustained functional rear end damage and was driven from the scene. No injuries were reported at the time of the crash. Opr. #1 was found to be operating unit #1 while his operating privilege was suspended or revoked. Opr. #1 was cited for PMVC 1543(a) driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked and PMVC 3310 following too closely.
