On 11/22/2019 at 0822 hrs, the North Coventry Twp. Police Dept. responded to the intersection of S. Keim St. and Hawk St. on the report of a two vehicle crash. Upon police arrival both vehicles were in the roadway. One operator advised that they were not injured and the other operator advised of having neck and head pain. Goodwill Ambulance and Norco Fire Police were requested and responded to the scene.
Police investigation revealed that unit #2, operated by Anthony Kerner, 31, of Pottstown, was traveling north on S. Keim St. Unit #1, operated by a 16 year of juvenile, of Pottstown, was traveling west on Hawk St. At the intersection of Hawk St. and S. Keim St., unit #1 stopped for a posted stop sign, but failed to yield to oncoming traffic before entering the intersection. Unit #1 entered the intersection attempting to turn south and struck the passenger's side of unit #2. Unit #1 sustained disabling front end damage. Unit #2 sustained disabling passenger's side damage. Both units were towed from the scene. Opr. #2 was transported to the Pottstown Hospital by Goodwill Ambulance with unknown injuries. Opr. #1 was cited for PMVC 3323(b) duty at stop sign. NFA.
