On December 23, 2019 at about 1531 hours, the North Coventry Police Department responded to the intersection of Rt. 724 and Rt. 100 for a two vehicle crash. Unit 1, a silver Chevy Silverado, was operated by Jonathan Strong. Unit 2, a white ISUZU box truck, was driven by Ronald Smith. It was determined that Unit 1 was traveling eastbound on Rt. 724, approaching the intersection. Unit 1 had a green light and attempted to make a left turn onto Rt. 100. Unit Two was traveling westbound on Rt. 724, approaching the intersection. Unit One failed to yield to Unit Two who was traveling through the intersection. Unit One made a left turn as Unit Two was continuing straight. Unit One struck Unit Two on the drivers side, with the front end bumper of the vehicle. Unit One sustained disabling damage and was towed by Douglassville Auto Body. Unit Two was able to be driven from the location. No injuries were reported. The intersection was closed for approximately 30 minutes.
