Jose DeJesus De Santos-Barba, age 32 of Avondale, was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Dealing in Proceeds of Unlawful Activities, False ID to Law Enforcement and summary traffic offenses following an investigation and traffic stop. The first incident occurred on Friday July 31, 2020 at 12:51 a.m., in the 900 block of Newark Road, in New Garden Township. Police were given information of a subject going to the location to sell drugs. The described vehicle was located, unoccupied, and secured for a search warrant. A large amount of cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine was located in and seized from the vehicle. De Santos-Barba was later identified as the driver and was found to have an outstanding warrant. On Friday August 7, 2020 at 1:27 p.m., police received more information that De Santos-Barba was possibly involved in another transaction in the 1000 block of West Baltimore Pike. De Santos-Barba was later located in the 900 block of Penn Green Road and taken into custody. He was transported to Chester County Prison for arraignment and committed after failing to post bail. The case is pending court.
