Edward Green, age 25, of West Grove was arrested and charged with DUI and related traffic offenses, as well as with Resisting Arrest, following a traffic stop for erratic driving. The incident occurred on 08/25/2017 at approx. 0124 hours, in the 200 block of West Evergreen Street, in West Grove Borough. Police had observed a Jeep being operated at a high rate of speed and failing to stay in its lane of travel, on westbound East Evergreen Street. Police followed the vehicle into the 200 block of West Evergreen Street, where a traffic stop was initiated. Upon making contact with Green, police observed numerous indicators suggesting intoxication. After failing field sobriety tests, police attempted to place Green under arrest for suspicion of DUI, however, he actively resisted by swinging his arms and elbows and pulling away from police. He was taken to the ground where he continued to resist but was subdued and taken into custody. He was transported to PSP Avondale, where he submitted to a chemical test of his breath, resulting in a B.A.C. of .166%. He was processed and later released pending issuance of a summons.
