Juan J. Hernandez Jr., age 22, of Avondale, was arrested and charged with Terroristic Threats, Simple Assault, Harassment, Criminal Mischief and Disorderly Conduct, following a call for a domestic disturbance. The incident occurred on Tuesday September 7, 2021 at 10:03 p.m., in the 9100 block of Gap Newport Pike, in New Garden Township. The victims related that Hernandez Jr. arrived at the residence and began breaking windows, attempting to gain access. Hernandez Jr. told one victim, “I’m going to kill you, you’re dead”. The second victim was then grabbed by Hernandez Jr. and pushed backwards, while he threatened to harm and told her she was going to die. Hernandez Jr. was taken into custody and transported to the Chester County Prison for processing and arraignment. He was committed after failing to post bail. The case is pending a preliminary hearing.
