Kenneth T. Long, age 26, of West Grove was charged with DUI (Controlled Substances) and with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act (Act 64), after lab results were received from an incident that occurred back on 11/18/2018 at approx. 1:37pm, at Newark and Starr Roads, in New Garden Township. Police had stopped long for an equipment violation and observed marijuana in plain view when they approached the vehicle. In addition to marijuana and related paraphernalia, police recovered methamphetamine. Long was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and for the drug violations. He consented to a chemical test of his blood and lab results subsequently revealed that Long had both methamphetamine and amphetamine in his system. Charges were filed in MDC 15-4-04 on 03/07/2019. The case is pending a preliminary hearing.
