Rodrigo Mondragon-Alvarez, age 28, of Oxford was arrested and charged with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act (Act 64) and with False Identification to Law Enforcement, after he was found to be in possession of 143 Oxycodone pills. The incident occurred on 02/27/2019 at approx. 12:03 am, in the unit block of Townview Drive, in West Grove Borough. Police had observed a Chrysler Sebring leave Bushong Alley at a high rate of speed. When police located that vehicle on Townview Drive, they observed the vehicle with its light off and the occupants ducking down to avoid being seen. When police made contact with the four occupants, they observed evidence of drug use and observed a rear passenger attempting to hide and destroy contraband. When that subject was removed from the vehicle, police observed numerous small blue pills on the floor. The subject first gave the false name of Rodrigo Ortiz but later provided his true identity of Rodrigo Mondragon-Alvarez. Police seized the Oxycodone and took Mondragon-Alvarez into custody. A record check revealed that he was wanted on an outstanding warrant. He was processed and arraigned, after which he was committed to the Chester County Prison in lieu of posting $25,000.00 bail. The case is pending a preliminary hearing.
