Zeiban Mondragon-Reza, age 25, of Toughkenamon was arrested and charged with DUI (Controlled Substances) and related traffic offenses, as well as with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act (Act 64), after the 2014 Chevrolet he was driving was stopped for swerving out of its lane of travel on multiple occasions. The incident occurred on 03/31/2018 at approx. 1:33 pm, in the 1200 block of Baltimore Pike, in New Garden Township. Upon making contact with Mondragon-Reza, police were met with the odor of marijuana, as smoke billowed out of the vehicle. Marijuana residue was observed on his clothing and throughout the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Additionally, marijuana roaches and a marijuana cigar that was still smoking were observed in the driver’s door. A subsequent search produced additional marijuana under the driver’s seat. After failing field sobriety tests, Mondragon-Reza was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and for the drug violations. Mondragon-Reza was given an opportunity to submit to a chemical test of his blood but he refused. He was processed and released pending issuance of a summons. Charges filed in MDC 15-4-04.
