Michael A. Norris, age 31 of Parkesburg, was arrested and charged with Persons not to Possess, Use, Manufacture, Control, Sell or Transfer Firearms, carrying a Firearm without a License, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and related summary traffic offenses, following a traffic stop for active warrants. The incident occurred on Thursday March 18, 2021 at 2:15 p.m., in the 300 block of Starr Road, in New Garden Township. Upon making contact with Norris, the odor of marijuana was detected and Norris admitted to having some in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded twelve (12) individual baggies of marijuana (4 grams each), a jar containing 5 grams of marijuana, two cell phones, empty baggies, two BB guns and a 9mm handgun. Norris was taken into custody and later transported to the Chester County Prison for processing and arraignment. Norris was committed after failing to post bail. The case is pending a preliminary hearing.
