The SCCRPD is investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred on Tuesday 11/19/2019 at approx. 7:30 pm, in the 100 block of Crescent Road, in the Harrogate North Development, located in the Landenberg section of New Garden Township. The victim, an 82- year-old female, had just arrived home after grocery shopping at the Acme in Lantana Square (Hockessin, DE). She pulled into her garage and began to exit her vehicle, when an unknown male appeared and shouted “Give me that!”, as he ripped the purse from her hands. He fled on foot with the victim following behind as she screamed for help. The male entered the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked in front of a neighboring residence, made a U-turn, and fled the development. The victim was not injured. Her purse and contents, including a cell phone, credit cards, and cash, were stolen and, at this time, have not been recovered.
