The Southern Chester County Regional Police Department’s authorized strength is 15 full-time police officers and between 8 and 10 part-time officers. The Chief Executive Officer is Chief Gerald R. Simpson; his Command Staff includes Deputy Chief Michael P. King who oversees the Field Operations, which includes two Platoon Corporals and fourteen police officers. Additionally, the Deputy Chief oversees the Criminal Investigations Unit. Sgt. Joseph F. Greenwalt oversees the Community Policing Unit, which is tasked with outreach programs, training and career development, professional standards and property and inventory control.
