AVON GROVE LIBRARY RECEIVES NNO DONATION
The Avon Grove Library was designated as the recipient of this year’s National Night Out dunk tank collection. The SCCRPD presented a check for $500.00 to Lori Schwabenbauer, Director of the Avon Grove Library and Susan Geiger, President of the Avon Grove Library Board of Trustees, during the Public Safety Commission Meeting held on August 20th. WCU Intern Recognized with Award
Bradun Roach of Oxford received a Certificate of Achievement for successfully completing 450 hours of an unpaid internship with the SCCRPD. Bradun, is a recent graduate of West Chester University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. His enthusiasm and work ethic never waned throughout the program and our officers and staff enjoyed his time with us. We wish him the best in his future endeavors. Pictured with Bradun is Lt.

Safety Reminder - Refrigerators
Residents are reminded that it is a violation of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code (Title 18, Section 6502) to discard a refrigerator or icebox, with a capacity of 1.5 cubic feet or more, with the door or lid still attached, in any place that is accessible to children. The SCCRPD has investigated four violations of this law in recent weeks. With warmer weather upon us, more children will be playing outside and these appliances can make tempting hiding spots.
