Beginning October 1st through November 30th, you may notice a difference in the normal clean-cut appearance of SCCRPD personnel. The Chief has authorized sworn personnel to participate in the 2020 Blue Beards for Charity --- a Chester County grassroots organization committed to raising money for criminal justice-oriented causes, such as the Crime Victims Center, The Sambuco Children’s Educational Fund, A Child’s Light, and Unite for Her, etc.

The department has partnered with CARFAX to make all investigated crash reports from June 2018 forward available for access (24 hours a day/7 days a week/365 days a year) via CRASHDOCS.ORG. The cost is $15.00 per report and depending on the severity of the crash, they are usually available 5-7 business days after the accident was investigated. Residents are reminded that it is a violation of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code (Title 18, Section 6502) to discard a refrigerator or icebox, with a capacity of 1.5 cubic feet or more, with the door or lid still attached, in any place that is accessible to children. The SCCRPD has investigated four violations of this law in recent weeks. With warmer weather upon us, more children will be playing outside and these appliances can make tempting hiding spots.
