Residents are reminded that it is a violation of the Pennsylvania Crimes Code (Title 18, Section 6502) to discard a refrigerator or icebox, with a capacity of 1.5 cubic feet or more, with the door or lid still attached, in any place that is accessible to children. The SCCRPD has investigated four violations of this law in recent weeks. With warmer weather upon us, more children will be playing outside and these appliances can make tempting hiding spots.
In an effort to collaborate better with the community, the SCCRPD is asking all residents and business with cameras to register with the police department. Access to video following a crime can be the difference in solving the crime or not. To register your camera click here.
