October 17, 2019 - Hit & Run Investigation



The Tredyffrin Township Police Department is actively investigating a hit & run incident which occurred on Thursday, October 17th, 2019 at intersection of Lancaster Avenue/ Route 30 & N. Valley Road in the Paoli section of Tredyffrin Township.

At/ about 8:14am on this date, Officers responding to that intersection discovered the traffic control signal on the Northeast corner damaged and lying in the roadway. Information was received that a flatbed truck hauling a large piece of construction equipment struck the signal pole as it attempted to turn right Northbound onto N. Valley Road from Westbound on Lancaster Avenue/ Route 30. The striking vehicle did not stop at the scene, and was last observed traveling Northbound on N. Valley Road. As a result of this crash, the roadway was closed for several hours while repairs were made.
