Community Programs

Tredyffrin Township Police Department sponsors a variety of programs throughout the year to assist the community, including the Citizens Police Academy, Coffee With A Cop , a Halloween Safety Program with the Strafford Library, and Community Day.

Community Day – September 16th, 2017 at Wilson Farm Park;

National Take Back Initiative Drug Take Back Program – This program with the DEA is held several times during the year, enabling residents to safely dispose of expired or unused prescription medication. In one of the events, close to 100 people stopped by and safely disposed of about 200 pounds of medication.

17th Citizens Police Academy - The Citizens Police Academy is an excellent program designed to bring the community and police department together through mutual understanding. By participating in this program, citizens promote community involvement - which is the most powerful force any law enforcement agency has in the fight against crime. In 2016, the 16th Citizens Police Academy class received valuable information on topics such as DUI Investigations, Domestic Violence, Personal Safety, Berwyn Fire Company Tour and Demonstration, Criminal and Accident Investigations, and SWAT tactics.
