Police want to remind residents to lock their vehicles at all times, even in their own driveways. Do not leave anything of value in the car, especially items containing personal information such as checkbooks, credit cards, passports and other identification.

COUNTERFEIT BILLS

1/29/18 & 2/1/18 – Multiple stores in Gateway Shopping Center and Paoli CVS store. Store managers have reported actors trying to make purchases with counterfeit $100 bills. The cases are under investigation.  

RETAIL THEFT

1/30/18 – Paoli Acme. Police charged Yermin Lee, 41, of Paoli, PA with Retail Theft after she attempted to leave the store without paying for items.

POSSESSION

1/30/18 – Route 202. Officers charged Shawn Harrison, 18, of Philadelphia, PA with Possession of a Controlled Substance during a traffic stop.  

POSSESSION

2/1/18 – 900 block of W. Swedesford Road in Berwyn. While on patrol, officers observed a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot. The occupants – Jessica Marshall, 32, of State College, PA and Devan McGowan, 19, of Coburn, PA were charged with the following crimes: Manufacturing/Delivering/Possession with the Intent to Sell a Controlled Substance; Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana and Paraphernalia.

THEFT

2/6/18 – BMW of Devon. Police responded to the report of stolen wheels from a new vehicle in the lot. The wheels are valued at $6,000. The case is under investigation.

RETAIL THEFT

2/6/18 – Whole Foods Market in Devon. Police charged Natasha Krishnaraj, 22, of Wayne, PA with Retail Theft after she attempted to exit the store without paying for merchandise. The value of the items was approximately $166.

POSSESSION

2/9/18 – Valley Forge Road. During a traffic stop, officers charged Jacob Brown, 20, of Spring City, PA with Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana.

BIKE THEFT

2/9/18 – Paoli Train Station. The victim reported their Diamondback Clarity bicycle was stolen from the parking lot. The bike was valued at $371.00.

WALLET THEFT

2/9/18 – Vanguard in Malvern. The victim reported their wallet stolen. The wallet contained cash, 2 rings, credit cards and gift cards. The wallet was later turned in to Security, however it was empty. The case is under investigation.

POSSESSION

2/10/18 – Route 202. During a traffic stop, officers charged Syair Bradley, 24, of Philadelphia, PA with Possession of a Small Amount of Marijuana.

RETAIL THEFT

2/10/18 – TJ Maxx in Gateway Shopping Center. Antonio Carranza-Corte, 25, of Norristown, PA was charged with the following; Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property after he was observed concealing merchandise and destroying the security tags.

THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS WERE ARRESTED FOR DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE. THE LAB RESULTS AND/OR CHEMICAL BREATH TESTING HAVE BEEN OFFICIALLY VERIFIED AND DETERMINED TO BE UNFIT TO OPERATE A MOTOR VEHICLE SAFELY ON THE ROADWAY.

James Buysse, 62, of Paoli, PA - Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) was .218%

Shaun Curran, 29, of Philadelphia, PA – BAC was .228%

Ronald Czapla, 67, of Wayne, PA – BAC was .130%

Robert Matelwich, 52, of Radnor, PA – BAC was .137%

Matthew Metanchuk, 29, of Oxford, PA – BAC was .132%

Brianna Patterson, 23, of Collegeville, PA – BAC was .178%

Vera Skrydlyak, 38, of Norristown, PA – BAC was .189%
