On April 12th, 2022, at around 2:00AM, the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department received information about a stolen truck that was traveling along Wilmington Pike into Westtown Township. Patrol officers were aware of a recent trend involving stolen trucks being used to steal Dirt Bikes and ATVs and immediately began to patrol nearby neighborhoods.
At around 2:27AM, patrol officers were made aware that the stolen truck was now heading south on Wilmington Pike and now the bed of the truck contained an ATV and Dirt Bike. Area police departments including those in Delaware County, Pennsylvania were made aware of the possible recent theft and last known direction of travel.
Several minutes later, police agencies from around Delaware County were successfully able to stop the vehicle. It was later confirmed that the ATV in the bed of the truck was stolen from a resident’s rear yard in Westtown Township, Pennsylvania.
Subsequently, Jose Raul Colon, a 19-year-old male from Camden, New Jersey was arrested for theft of motor vehicle and related offenses.
