On 7/7/2022, WEGO PD arrested a husband and wife, Wilfried Poenaru (29) and Cornelica Nicolae-Dirivan (19), citizens of Romania, following an investigation into two (2) individual retail thefts that occurred on 6/18/2022. The first theft occurred from the Giant Food Store, and the second from the Fine Wine & Good Spirits, both located in the Dilworthtown Shopping Center in Thornbury Township, Chester County. Stolen were numerous bottles of champagne and scotch whiskey, valued at around $1,300 collectively.
