On Friday, December 9, 2022, at 1250 hours, the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department was dispatched to the 1200 block of Waterford Road, East Goshen Township for the forgery complaint. During the course of the investigation, the victim, an 83-year-old township resident reported he discovered on December 1, 2022, that two checks missing from his checkbook. On the same date, one of those checks was written and deposited in the name of his wife's home healthcare nurse. As a result of the information provided and an interview with the offender (Hasanah Raheem, 22 years old of Philadelphia, PA), was taken into custody and charged.
Raheem was arraigned in front of Honorable Judge Mackenzie Smith who set bail at five thousand dollars (5k) unsecured. A preliminary hearing was set for Monday, January 9, 2023 at District Court 15-1-02.
