The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department is actively investigating a burglary discovered at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church located off of SR 202 in Westtown Township. Forced entry was made into the church between 3:00pm December 1st, 2019 and 8:00am December 2nd, 2019. Stolen from the church was cash from the collection box. Additionally, two steel 10 inch by 10 inch collection boxes were removed from the church and have not been recovered.
A suspicious male was observed at the church during past several weeks, as well as attempting to open the collection box in the early afternoon on December 1st, 2019 before being interrupted. The male suspect is described as a white male late 50s or early 60s approximately 5’10” and 200lbs, grey and white hair down to his shoulders and slightly balding in the front, grey/white long beard touching his chest, last seen wearing beige winter jacket and “worn” blue jeans.
