Friendly Reminder when visiting parks!

Case

With the warmer weather and longer daylight hours quickly approaching, members of the Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department would like to remind residents to be cautious when visiting parks due to the increase in outdoor activities that often attracts the attention of criminals.

Parks are easy targets for criminals looking to break into vehicles and steal valuables. Prior to arriving at the park, valuables should be stored in an area that is not visible when looking into the vehicle. Purses, bags, or electronics are often targeted by these criminals who will unfortunately break a vehicle window if these items are easily visible.

As always, lock your vehicle doors and immediately contact police if you notice anyone or anything suspicious at a park. If you see an officer patrolling a park, stop and say hi and address any concerns that you may see!

We hope you enjoy the numerous parks that are available in East Goshen, Westtown, and Thornbury Townships and look forward to seeing everyone enjoying them during these warmer months.
