It that time of year again!
With the gorgeous spring weather now abundant, use of our beautiful parks is going to be a popular activity moving forward. Unfortunately, so is the opportunity for crime.
Please be mindful when visiting parks about leaving items of value visible in vehicles. These items are a quick opportunity for someone to take advantage of. Attempt to store away these items prior to exiting your car.
Now on to the good news! Our police officers will be continuing to patrol the parks even more frequently. If you see one, stop and introduce yourself and have a friendly conversation about what is going on in your neighborhood or any questions or concerns you might have. Often, kids are fascinated with police cars and our patrol officers are happy to provide kids with a tour of the police car and speak to the kids.
As a reminder, if you see something out of the ordinary, say something. Don’t let the squirrel be the only witness. He’s nuts!
