Theft From Vehicles at All-Star Baseball Academy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

December 10, 2018

The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department is investigating several theft from vehicle complaints at the All-Star Baseball Academy, located in the unit block of Penn Oaks Drive in Thornbury Township, Chester County.

In each case the offenders smashed out vehicle windows to access purses that were left in plain view inside the vehicles. The thefts occurred on November 2, 2018 and also November 18, 2018 during daytime hours.

Credit cards, checks and identification were taken during these thefts and later a white female was captured on store surveillance video using the stolen credits cards and identification to purchase gift cards. The same female attempted to cash some of the stolen checks through bank drive-thru lines in a rental vehicle that displayed a stolen registration plate.

The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department is seeking assistance from the public with identifying this suspect and vehicles. Several other law enforcement agencies are investigating related crimes in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Jason Diamond at 610-455-6082 or by e-mail at jdiamond@wegopd.org.

The police department urges residents to be vigilant and not leave vehicles unattended with valuables in plain view. It is best to secure these valuables in the trunk space before arriving to a parking lot as some offenders sit in parking lots to watch activity of those arriving.
