On December 5, 2019 at 8:30 pm, the West Chester Police Department responded to the 50 Block of S. Matlack St for a report of a shot that was fired from a gun. Through an investigation it was found that Anthony Berry, B/M 25 YOA of West Chester, had an argument with residents in the block and as a result fired a round from a handgun into the air. A warrant was issued at that time for Berry's arrest for recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, simple assault and numerous weapons charges.
On January 12, 2020 at approximately 10:30pm the West Chester Police Department received information that Berry was at Appetizers in Coatesville. Caln Township PD arrested Berry at the establishment and he was transported to the Chester County Prison where he was arraigned and is being held on $40,000 cash bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled.
