On December 8, 2017 at approximately 10:15 AM. the West Chester Police Department was notified of a bomb threat at Henderson High School. A student at Henderson High School reported finding a threat written on a bathroom stall , claiming there was a bomb in the school. The High School was evacuated. The Chester County Sheriff's Department, along with two outside law enforcement agencies utilized their bomb dogs to assist in searching the school. No devices were located. A suspect was identified and interviewed.
On December 11, 2017 at approximately 11:00 AM a student from Henderson High School was arrested and processed at the West Chester Police Station. The student was released to a family member. The student (a juvenile) was charged with Threat to Use Weapons of Mass Destruction and Terroristic Threats.
