On Monday January 4, 2021 at 9:15am, The West Chester Police were dispatched to 11 W Chestnut St for a trespasser in the building. Upon arrival officers made contact with Carl Pope, a 32 year old black male of Philadelphia. Pope was found to be in possession of a package that didn't have his name on it. After investigation, the package was found to have been stolen from 106 S High St. Video from the area showed Pope removing the package from the front steps of 106 S High St earlier that morning. Pope was taken into custody, processed, and sent to the Chester County Prison for arraignment. A preliminary hearing is pending.
