Copper Theft from PECO Power Plant



On Friday November 3, 2017 at 9:20 AM  West Chester Police responded to the PECO Power Plant, located at 950 Downingtown Pike in East Bradford Township for a reported theft  of copper wire.  Actor(s) gained entry into the property by cutting a fence at the side of the property.  Unknown actor(s) removed the following items: 100’ black 2-0 copper wire, copper wire from 15 stick grounds (15’ each) 2-0 copper wire, copper wire from 4 2-0 “SSG” single clamshell grounds (15’ each), copper wire from 2 4/0 “SSG” clamshell grounds (15’ each), Copper wire from 1 “ABC” 2/0 clamshell ground (10’ length) and 300’ of 4-wire “8” conductor.  The total estimated value of property is $20,000.00.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the West Chester Police at (610) 696-2700
