Two new officers were sworn in by the Honorable John Bailey and Mayor Phil Dague at the March Borough Council meeting:
• Kyle Cassidy is a resident of Chester County, and he graduated from the Delaware County Police Academy in 2019. He served as a Logistics Specialist with the U.S. Army Reserves and, most recently, a police officer with the West Chester University Police Department.
• Matthew Shannon is a Chester County resident who graduated from the Montgomery County Police Academy in 2015. He obtained an undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education from West Chester University and most recently served as a police officer with the Falls Township Police Department.
These additions are crucial to our department's mission and will significantly contribute to our operations, as they will fill two of our four vacancies. As Officers Cassidy and Shannon are already certified as police officers in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, they have hit the ground running with their field training. Please join us in welcoming them to our community!
