The Chester County Department of Emergency Services (CCDES) handles primary dispatch responsibilities for the Downingtown Police Department.
CCDES answers all EMERGENCY (Dial 911) and Non-Emergency (Dial 610-383-7000) calls initiated within Downingtown Borough and East Caln Township 24 hours a day.
CCDES will dispatch appropriate police, fire, and emergency medical units based on the information that they receive.
The Downingtown Police Department does have window hours on regular business days, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
