Officer Shawn Hackett was sworn in by the Honorable Ann Feldman and Mayor Phil Dague at the July Borough Council meeting. Officer Hackett, a Delaware County resident, graduated from the Delaware County Police Academy this past June, where he was honored with the class firearms award. He received his undergraduate degree in Health and Exercise Physiology from Ursinus College, and he most recently served as a public safety telecommunicator with the Delaware County Department of Emergency Services. 

Officer Hackett is the third of four officers hired in 2025 to fill vacancies from officer retirements.
