Downingtown Police responded to Route 113 North near the Route 30 overpass in East Caln Township on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 10:37 p.m. for a motorcycle crash with reported injuries. Upon the arrival of Downingtown Police Officers, they discovered that a Red Motorcycle being ridden by an adult male and an adult female collided with the shoulder guard rail of Route 113 North just after exiting from Route 30 Eastbound. Both riders were thrown from the motorcycle.
Police Officers, along with Fire and EMS personnel, immediately began providing medical care to the two motorcycle riders. EMS then transported them both to the Paoli Hospital Trauma Center with serious injuries. The names of the riders are being withheld at this time. Route 113 was closed until about 1:45 a.m. for the investigation.
The Downingtown Police Department Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the crash. The East Brandywine Township Police Department, Downingtown Fire Police, and West Whiteland Fire Police assisted with traffic control. Downingtown Fire & EMS, Uwchlan EMS, and Washington Hose EMS provided Fire and EMS services.
