On November 11, 2022 at 11:24 pm the Oxford Police were dispatched to the 500 Blk Lincoln Street for a report of a disturbance involving a firearm.  Upon arrival, Officers were directed inside and made contact with the suspect, Robert Fornwalt, 51, of Kirkwood, who had been disarmed by witnesses prior to Police arrival.  Multiple witnesses and victims state that Fornwalt pointed the firearm at them before engaging in a physical altercation.  Fornwalt was taken into custody for multiple assault charges and carrying a firearm without a license. Fornwalt was processed and transported by Constables to Chester County Prison where he was arraigned and released on a $15,000 cash bail.

UPDATE

On February 14, 2023 a preliminary hearing was held at Oxford District Court.  Both charges of aggravated assault were dismissed and one additional charge of simple assault was added.  Fornwalt waived his hearing and the charges will be sent to the Court of Common Pleas.
