Prior to coming to Oxford Police Department Chief Iacono served as a police lieutenant for the West Chester Police Department. During his 32 years as a police officer in the Borough of West Chester Chief Iacono worked his way up through the ranks serving as a Patrol Officer, Corporal and Sergeant working narcotics in the criminal division was involved in the community policing unit and an in charge of patrol operations/ investigation as a lieutenant and finished his career with the West Chester Police Department as the professional standard lieutenant.
Chief Iacono is already somewhat familiar with Oxford Borough because he lives with his wife and children in East Nottingham Township for the last 26 years. All of his children went thru the Oxford School district.
The top priority of the Oxford Police Department will be public safety first. We the police officers of the Oxford Police Department will always treat people equally and we will do our best every day to serve the community. While the mayor and the police chief set the mission statement for this police department, it will be the officers of the Oxford Police Department that will set the standards.

Our mission is to partner with the community to solve problems and improve public safety in a manner that is fair, impartial, transparent, and consistent, thereby enhancing the quality of life for our citizens.
